Proverbs 4:20-22

20 My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. 

21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; 

22 for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body.

Lord Jesus, I pray for health for Lee's whole body. I pray for his physical brain and for his mood and that You would ease the effects of the concussion.

I pray that You will heal Lee inside and out. I pray for improved confidence, improved level of fitness. I pray that You would show me how to help. I pray for the situation with the band, that Lee would be amenable and at peace with the solution to the co-leading issue. And that the others involved would be open to his ideas as well. I pray that Your contemporary service would please You, and inspire others to love You.

I pray for Mom and Dad as they fly to France today. Go before them! Calm their nerves. Soothe their sadness over leaving us. I pray for protection as they travel, and that they would know that I love them. And that You love them! 

I pray for Lily and Isabel, that they would learn to love You and think of You often. I pray that they will learn to avoid cancer-causing foods like donuts!

I pray for my book, that the work of my hand would be pleasing to You.

In Your name I pray, Jesus.

Good pleasure

Lord,
It is your good pleasure to provide for us, to give us Your kingdom. I pray for Lee, that You will heal him inside and out. I pray that he will come to know You better. I pray that You would draw him to You. I pray that You would incline his heart to love You more. I pray that You would ease his mind about his problems here, and fix his eyes on You.

I pray these things for myself, too!

I live by faith, not by sight. Lord, please show me what this means today.

Lee is dealing with the effects of his concussion. I pray for healing. I pray for patience. I pray that You would show me how to care for him.

I pray for the situation with Hannah Moulton, that just keeps going and going and going.
I pray that You would lead me in the way that I should go.

Lord, You are a lamp to my feet! Please please infuse me with Your spirit of wisdom and kindness.

Please, if it be Your will, may I get some writing done today, and may it glorify You?

Dear God,

My mind is scattered and I feel unworthy and guilty. I pray for Your thoughts in my head, not my own. Thank you for another good day at BSF, and for the blessings you've granted me through it. 

Thank you for the opportunity to write this book. I want to write something that glorifies You. I want it to be a book where You are an unseen but deeply felt character. Lord I am at Your mercy. My motives aren't pure but I do want to glorify You and to think in terms of Your impact in the world.

I pray for Lee, who is depressed and embarrassed after his fall, and I pray Your protection over him at work. 

I pray for Isabel and Lily, that You would go before them at school.

I pray for Hannah Moulton, who has her own issues and insecurities to deal with and is lashing out at Isabel. 

I want to take Your advice to heart: Do everything without complaining or arguing. Just do it, move forward.

I pray for protection over Mom and Dad as they prepare for their move to France. What do I need to do to help them?

Lord, show me how to love others and to love You more.

The Lord goes with me

The Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Deuteronomy 31:6

Lord God, I am a sinner before You but also loved by You. I pray for less of me and more of You today as I lead the children at BSF. I pray for all the children in the room, that they will learn what You have for them to learn today. You are working in each of their lives. Please use me to guide and direct them in the way You want them to go.

Please give me wisdom and patience to deal with Joey. I would rather that Joey not show up at all, but if he does come today, I pray that I will see it Your way, as an opportunity for both of us to grow.

I pray for Lee, for healing and for protection over him at work. I pray that he will know that he's loved. 

You go with me today to do Your work. You will be there, never leaving me. I pray that I might know Your presence there with me. I want to live my life with You in mind. Please help me to do that.

I pray for protection over Isabel and Lily. I am comforted to know that You go with them too. 

I pray for the situation between Isabel and Hannah Moulton. I pray that my frustration would lift and that Isabel and Hannah can be friendly again. I don't know how to pray for Hannah. So I pray that You would change my heart, and work in this situation to everyone's good.

Do not fear

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Lord, thank you for BSF and the good stuff that comes out of it. I've loved having the class all to myself, despite the extra work. I pray that I would remember to rely on you and not my own strength.

I pray that I would remember You in all things. This book-writing is a marathon. Please grant me the grit and the creativity to keep it up, and to put the words down in honor of You. I want to use my writing skills to write about the Truth, Your Truth, which, at the heart of it is sacrifice. Please show me how I can incorporate this into my book.

I pray for the Moulton situation. Show me how you would have me behave here. I will keep my eyes open for your guidance.

I pray for Isabel as she's testing right this moment, and every day this week. I pray that she will do her best, and excel. 

Lord, I want to know that You are with me always, and that there's no reason to fear.

I pray for protection over my children today.

I pray that You would show me how to be a better wife to Lee.

I pray that You would guide me and lead me in how You want me to proceed, professionally, with this book.
