1 Peter 1:8-9

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. — 1 Peter 1:8-9

Lord, You are at the center of all goodness and mystery and glory. I try to write about it and I know I fall short. Thank You for this verse. I pray that You will bless me with the inexpressible and glorious joy of feeling Your love.

I don't grasp this joy, but I want to. I pray for Your spirit in my life.

I thank You for answered prayers, for Lee's healing, for Lily's praying teacher, for Isabel's contentment.

I pray for Sara and Andy and the struggles they face. I pray for their baby. I thank You for their baby!

Lord, please protect my children and family and me today. I pray Your blessing upon them.

Show me what I need to do to be more like You, and Lord, please help, help, help!

In Your son's name I pray,

Amen
